THE CONSORTIUM FOR STREET CHILDREN  LAUNCHES NEW FAIR TRADE SHOP!

Traditionally, the global trade market has discriminated against those producers who live and work in less economically developed parts of the world, and who are unable to negotiate fair prices for their goods.

Coupled with this has been an alarming acceptance by developed countries to close their eyes to the unjust and exploitative conditions in which many of our household goods are made. By buying ethically produced and fairly traded goods, you can work against these trends.

To help achieve this, CSC has partnered up with ethicTrade to provide an exciting online shop that generates funds to support our work, as well as helping people in poverty transform their lives through trade.

The shop offers a wide selection of clothing, crafts, jewellery, accessories and creative gift ideas.  All our products are fairly traded and ethically produced and offer an exciting alternative to the High Street shop.  Furthermore, 20% of all sales will go to support CSC as well as providing an opportunity for our supporters, together with their friends and families, to donate to our work.

Contrary to popular belief, ethically traded goods need not be more expensive nor lower quality than those you buy from ordinary retail shops, plus you will be helping to ensure that poor communities across the globe get no less than what they deserve for their work.
